The love of Siam is a Thai movie that talks about the story of two teenage boys who used to be neighbors and has become best friends. Their friendship started when Tong (Mario Maurer) has accidentally spit a chewing gum to Mew's (Witwisit Hiranyawongkul) hair. Tong felt guilty and wanted to befriend Mew from that point on but has no success. At school, Mew was cornered by several other students and was harassed until Tong stepped in to defend him. Tong was injured and apologized to Mew for the chewing gum incident. Mew was grateful for Tong stepping in and responded that they were even. They become good friend from that point on.
Watch this movie to witness how their friendship has evolved and to where has this brought them in the end. Another piece of art that will truly be appreciated.

ReplyDeleteWatching this again year 2020. I have a similar love story though it didn't reach the point that we both acknowledged that we had feelings for each other. But it was real. I know it was. And I also think that it didn't work out because someone intervened.

I'm just sad that in this lifetime, we will never have another chance, and what we had then might've been the only chance we would ever get. That, for me, is still the most tragic part of my life. I'm 29 years old and I'm still not out of the closet and I might never be. I will never have the love story that I think I deserve.
